Special Worship
In addition to Sunday Worship, we have multiple special services through the end of the year to celebrate an abundance of holidays, seasons, and occasions. Join us as we hold space for all the joy and sorrow life brings.
Transgender Day of Remembrance Service
Wednesday, November 20th at 4:30 PM - We will gather with the community at the Transgender Garden of Remembrance to speak the names of those transgender siblings who have lost their lives this year because of hate. We will say their names, learn more about them and place stone with their names around the garden tree. Let us all be a part of ensuring that lives lost in hate are never silenced or forgotten.
Ingathering Service
Sunday, November 24th at 10 AM - Each year, as part of Generosity Month, we celebrate the Festival of the Ingathering that was a part of Jewish life at the time of harvest. The tradition was to leave the best of their crops at the side of the field for aliens who had no source of food. In this worship service, we will intentionally challenge ourselves to think about what it means to give our best.
World AIDS Day
Sunday, December 1st at 10 AM - We will welcome the entire community to worship with us as we keep the promise of this day which is to “never forget” the millions who died with AIDS while our country and world stood by with only judgment. In memory of those who lost their lives, we will recommit ourselves to fight for justice as a way to ensure their lives were not lost in vain. The service will end in our AIDS Memorial Garden.
