Letter from the new Transitional Pastor of Church of the Trinity MCC:
I want to express my deepest gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to join Church of the Trinity MCC as the Transitional Pastor. Just in the few weeks I have been here, I have been overwhelmed by the generosity and hospitality of those I have had the opportunity to meet.
While I look forward to meeting you all, I want to share a little about myself. I was born and raised in Illinois. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s in Education, and went on to complete the MCC Clergy Program. In 1990, I became the Senior Pastor at the Metropolitan Community Church of Lubbock and was there for 22 years. My wife, Terry and I decided to move to Venice, Florida in 2015 and I started volunteering for the Suncoast Cathedral MCC in 2016.
As I have started to prepare for the opportunity here at Church of the Trinity MCC I have nothing but excitement for what the future may hold. My goal for this ministry is to strengthen and enhance worship, develop new leaders, establish a sound financial base and increase our outreach.
I would like to invite you to join us every Sunday for our Celebration Service at 10 a.m. We would love to see the church filled with members, friends, families, and guests all summer long. I hope to have a chance meet each of you very soon. In the meantime, please know that I am praying for you and everyone in the congregation.
