To provide support, education, prevention and intervention for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and for those in temporary crisis.

FOOD PANTRY

Our food pantry is open to all in need on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month, from 3:30pm to 5:15pm with special items available during the holidays.

HIV/ AIDS Support

A variety of support groups are conducted throughout the year as needed. Participants are able to discuss difficult disease-related and social issues in a safe and supportive group setting. Groups are conducted by peer or Professional facilitators, as appropriate, who are also available by phone for one-on-one support as needed to assist in times of crisis.

The POZ M4M group meets every Monday night at 7 pm to provide support and education in a safe and encouraging environment for gay men with HIV/AIDS.

Diversity: The Voices of Sarasota

Members are from all walks of life and all levels of singing ability, from those who have never sung much outside the shower to professional entertainers.

A desire to sing and the feeling of being part of a caring community bring chorus members together where they have a chance to make beautiful music together. Audiences have responded with unfeigned exuberance and continue to support their efforts without fail. All are welcome to be a part of the chorus after going through a simple audition process.

ALSO Out Youth- Sarasota County

If you are a youth who has questions about your sexual identity or coming out then please check out this organization. ALSO Out Youth strives to end all forms of violence, harassment and discrimination based on real or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity. Their mission is to enhance self-esteem, promote healthy dialogue, and increase awareness of sexual minority issues. ALSO Out Youth provides many direct services, including peer support services, social activities, educational programs and workshops, advocacy, and referrals for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and questioning youth ages 13 to 21, their families and friends, and the community.

Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) is the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults.

 

The mission of SAGE is to lead in addressing issues related to LGBT aging.
